There's a woman you find attractive who you see regularly: a barista, a classmate, a coworker, a gym regular. Over the past month, what has ACTUALLY happened between you two? A Nothing. She doesn't know I exist. But I've imagined the conversation more times than I'd admit. B We're friendly. She'd call me sweet. Nothing has ever moved past that, with her or anyone. C Small talk happens, and every time there's an opening to make it more, I feel it pass while I'm deciding. D We talk plenty. She tells me about her life, even her dating life. I'm waiting for the right moment. E I've flirted, gotten her laughing, maybe her number. But it depends on the day: my mood, who's around, whether it feels like the right moment. If someone might be watching, I sometimes don't risk it. F If I wanted something to happen there, it would have already.
